How to thaw frozen cattle, sheep, and pork for freshness and health
1. Thaw at room temperature. Wrap frozen cattle, pigs, and lamb in plastic wrap or put them in a fresh-keeping box and slowly thaw them on the table. The loss of freshness is not significant and they can be eaten on the same day. Attention: When thawing, try not to expose frozen meat directly to the air, as there may be condensation water that makes the meat wet. Besides, the water vapor in the air attached to the meat makes it uncomfortable to eat.
2. Adopting hydrolysis thawing. Wrap cattle, pigs, and lamb in a convenient bag and then put them in cold water, otherwise there will be a lot of freshness and nutrients mixed into the water.
3. Thaw with salt water or vinegar. Put frozen beef, pork, and mutton in the refrigerator compartment for 1-2 hours to make the frozen meat slightly soft. Because the temperature in the refrigerator is usually around 0 degrees Celsius, the frozen meat can be softened first. Then thaw the meat thoroughly in salt water. Saltwater can accelerate the melting of ice and does not breed bacteria. In addition, dipping the fork in vinegar and inserting it into the meat can also speed up the thawing process.
4. Thaw using a microwave oven. When thawing in a microwave, be sure to use a low gear and gradually heat it up. At the beginning, heat for about two minutes, and then determine the heating time based on the degree of thawing of cattle, pigs, and lamb until they are completely thawed. Avoid heating for 10 minutes at the beginning.
5. Thaw using an aluminum basin. Place an aluminum bowl with the bottom facing up on the table, then place frozen beef, pork, and lamb on the bottom of the aluminum bowl, and then gently press another aluminum bowl with the bottom facing down onto the frozen meat. Press for about 5 minutes to thaw. This utilizes the extremely strong thermal conductivity of aluminum products. When the two ends of frozen meat are tightly attached to an aluminum pot, the frozen meat quickly exchanges heat with the surrounding air through the aluminum pot. After continuous heat exchange, the frozen meat will melt in a very short time. If there is no aluminum pot at home, aluminum lids and aluminum pots can also be used.
6. Adopting low-temperature and high humidity thawing method: Place frozen cattle, sheep, and pork on the thawing rack of the low-temperature and high humidity thawing machine equipment, then close the door. Press and hold the start button in the touch screen control system for 5 seconds, and the equipment will automatically thaw the pigs, sheep, and beef step by step according to the set formula, making the frozen pigs, cattle, and mutton thaw evenly, with less loss of nutrients and moisture, and thawing healthy and fresh frozen meat products. This equipment is widely used in large meat processing enterprises.
